Aston Martin debuts Valen, a limited-edition V12 supercar

Aston Martin has debuted the Valen, a new V12 supercar described as the most powerful front-engined model in the brand’s 113-year history. Production is strictly limited to 150 units worldwide, with a reported base price of £1.5 million before taxes.

The vehicle features a radical design departure from traditional Aston Martin aesthetics, utilizing a more aggressive front profile with concealed horizontal DRL lights and a solid carbon rear deck instead of a conventional rear window. This design choice prioritizes aerodynamics, utilizing a Gurney flap to manage downforce. The car also includes a 170-litre trunk accessible via a tailgate.

Technologically, the Valen aims to be significantly lighter than the Vanquish model upon which it is based, potentially saving up to 110 kg through the extensive use of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium, and magnesium. Performance is further enhanced by optional lightweight packs and 21-inch magnesium wheels equipped with Pirelli P Zero R tyres and Cyber Tyre technology for real-time data sharing with the vehicle’s control systems.
