Aston Martin unveils Valhalla Spider hybrid supercar
Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, the first mid-engined open-cockpit production supercar from the British manufacturer. Making its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, the Spider is an open-top variant of the Valhalla plug-in hybrid coupe.
The vehicle utilizes a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and features a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors. This configuration produces a combined system output of approximately 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.
Drivers can choose between a standard removable fabric roof, which limits the top speed to 200 km/h, and an optional carbon-fiber hardtop that allows for the full 350 km/h capability. Notably, the car can also reach its maximum speed with the roof entirely removed. To manage aerodynamics and cabin comfort, engineers introduced a bespoke wind deflector and raised the roof air intake by 35 mm. The Spider also features revised frameless dihedral doors and new 15-liter storage compartments in the side sills for stowing the roof components.
Development of the model involved collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the consulting arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
