Aston Martin Valhalla Spider unveiling
Overview
Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, the manufacturer’s first mid-engined open-cockpit production supercar. The plug-in hybrid model is based on the Valhalla Coupé and features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors. This powertrain produces a combined output of approximately 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.
To accommodate open-top driving, engineers implemented a bespoke wind deflector and raised the roof air intake by 35 mm. Drivers have the option of a standard removable fabric roof, which limits the top speed to 200 km/h, or an optional carbon-fiber hardtop that enables the full 350 km/h capability. The vehicle is built on a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and was developed with assistance from Aston Martin Performance Technologies.
Deliveries for the new model are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
