Aston Martin unveils Valen limited-edition V12 hyper-GT
Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen, a limited-edition hyper-GT revealed during Monterey Car Week in California. Developed by the Q by Aston Martin and Special Vehicle Operations departments, the Valen is the most powerful front-engine model in the brand’s 113-year history.
Built on the Vanquish platform, the vehicle features a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing 850 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. It utilizes an eight-speed automatic transmission with software derived from the Vantage GT4 racing program. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 344 km/h.
To enhance performance, the Valen is 110 kg lighter than the standard V12 platform, employing materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. The body is constructed entirely of carbon fiber and features a radical design that replaces traditional rear glass with a sculpted carbon cover, utilizing a high-definition digital rearview camera system instead. Production is strictly limited to 150 units, with an estimated value of approximately $2 million per vehicle.
