Aston Martin unveils Valhalla Spider hybrid supercar
Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, the first mass-produced mid-engine open-top supercar from the brand. Based on the Valhalla Coupé, this plug-in hybrid model features a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine combined with three electric motors, producing a total system output of 1,079 PS (793 kW) and 1,100 Nm of torque.
The vehicle is capable of an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h, a figure it can maintain even with the roof removed. To manage aerodynamics in open-top mode, the car utilizes a specialized wind deflector and a redesigned air intake that sits 35 mm higher than the coupé version.
Drivers can choose between a standard fabric roof, which limits top speeds to 200 km/h, or an optional carbon fiber hardtop that allows for full-speed performance. The car's structure is built on a carbon monocoque, with development assistance from Aston Martin Performance Technologies. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
