Astrae Oratio debuts hands-on demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026

NC and developer Dynamis One held the first public hands-on demo of their new Shindenki magic RPG, ‘Astrae Oratio’, at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The game is set in a fictionalized version of 1989 Tokyo where magic and daily life coexist.

Players assume the role of a ‘Shunin’, a public official within the Special District Office responsible for managing magicians and resolving supernatural incidents. The game features a unique real-time turn-based combat system divided into an ‘Action Phase’ and a ‘Judgment Phase’. During the Judgment Phase, players can observe enemy intentions and select specific responses to counter attacks, win clashes, or minimize damage from unstoppable moves.

Dynamis One Game Director Lim Jong-gyu and Art Director Kim In introduced the project, noting plans to expand the game through live services. The title is scheduled for release in 2027 for iOS and Android, with a global closed beta test planned for 2026.
