Astronomical phenomena expected in the night sky

Several celestial events are anticipated in the coming days. Observers can look for a conjunction involving the Moon in its last quarter, Mars, and Jupiter. This alignment is best viewed from midnight until dawn, appearing low on the eastern horizon shortly after midnight before rising higher in the southern sky by sunrise. Using binoculars or a small telescope may allow for the sighting of Jupiter's largest moons.

Additionally, there are opportunities to witness the aurora borealis. Forecasts indicate a potential increase in the Kp index to a value of 5, which could make the aurora visible in Poland. Optimal viewing times for these light displays are predicted between 1:00 and 7:00 AM on specific nights in late October and early November. For the best experience, observers are advised to find locations with wide views of the northern horizon, away from urban light pollution.
