Astronomical workshops and art exhibitions announced in Italy

Various astronomical and artistic educational events are scheduled in Italy for late 2026.

The Osservatorio Astronomico Serafino Zani will host a deep-sky photography workshop from November 6 to 8, 2026. This immersive course focuses on the acquisition and processing of deep-sky astronomical images, such as galaxies and nebulae, catering to enthusiasts ranging from beginners to intermediate astrophotographers.

Additionally, the Osservatorio Polifunzionale del Chianti will host the exhibition ‘Contemporary Celestial Maps’ on October 4, 2026. Part of the ‘Lezioni dallo Spazio’ project, the exhibition is a collaboration between the Academies of Fine Arts in Palermo and Florence, alongside various universities and scientific institutions. The showcase explores the intersection of visual arts, design, and scientific research through diverse media, including jewelry, textiles, augmented reality, and ceramics, to represent the sky through multiple perspectives.
