ASUS begins shipping ZenWiFi BN12 WiFi 8 mesh system

ASUS has officially commenced shipments of its ZenWiFi BN12, a new mesh WiFi system featuring WiFi 8 support. The system, identified as the BN19000, utilizes three wireless bands to achieve a combined theoretical maximum speed of up to 19 Gbps.

The bandwidth is distributed across three bands: 11,529 Mbps on the 6 GHz band, 5,764 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, and 1,376 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Each band features a 4x4 configuration. For wired connectivity, the system includes 10 Gbps Ethernet ports.

Designed to expand home coverage via the AiMesh ecosystem, a two-unit setup is claimed to cover approximately 650 square meters (7,000 square feet). The system introduces Adaptive QoE, which dynamically manages traffic distribution based on real-time application demands, and aims to improve connection stability over medium and long distances through multi-access point coordination.
