ASUS launches ZenWiFi BN12, the world’s first Wi-Fi 8 mesh system

ASUS has begun international distribution of the ZenWiFi BN12, which is being marketed as the world’s first Wi-Fi 8 mesh system. Unlike previous generations that focused primarily on increasing raw speed, the Wi-Fi 8 standard aims to prioritize connection reliability and stability.

The ZenWiFi BN12 is designed to reduce performance fluctuations caused by distance from the router or signal interference from other networks. It also improves communication with low-power smart devices, such as sensors, cameras, and smart lights. A two-unit setup can theoretically cover up to 650 square meters with an aggregate wireless speed of approximately 19 Gbps, though actual performance depends on environmental factors and existing infrastructure.
