ASUS ROG hosts AI Masterclass in Malang to promote local AI education

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) held its ROG AI Masterclass in Malang on September 25, 2026. This event serves as the second stop in a series following a previous session in Yogyakarta, aimed at providing artificial intelligence education to digital communities, professionals, and creative workers.

The workshop focused on the benefits of local AI technology and on-device processing. ASUS Indonesia Country Manager Lenny Lin highlighted that running AI models directly on laptop hardware allows for improved data privacy, operational flexibility, and independence from internet connectivity or subscription-based models. This capability enables users to process sensitive professional and financial data securely without transmitting it to external servers.

In collaboration with Mindplace, the event featured interactive discussions led by content creator La Junta. Topics included building AI-optimized workspaces, automating tasks with AI agents, and applying machine learning to professional workflows. Participants had hands-on experience with various hardware, including the ROG Zephyrus Duo, ROG Flow Z13, ROG Zephyrus G16, ROG Strix SCAR 18, and ASUS TUF Gaming models.
