ASX mining companies report significant resource updates

Brightstar Resources has announced an interim resource update for its Sandstone project in Western Australia, increasing the resource to 2.9 million ounces of gold. The resource comprises 69 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.3 g/t gold.

In related mining developments, PTR Minerals has unveiled a maiden resource for its Rosewood titanium deposit at the Muckanippie project in South Australia. The maiden resource estimate totals 463Mt at 8.8% heavy minerals, containing 40.6Mt of heavy minerals. Management describes the Rosewood deposit as a potentially globally significant heavy mineral sands deposit.
