Greece reports multiple traffic incidents including wrong-way driving and cliff fall

Several traffic incidents have been reported in Greece. On the Athens-Corinth National Road near Magoula, an 82-year-old woman driving a Mercedes was filmed traveling the wrong way in the lane heading toward Corinth. Authorities identified the driver, noting that her license had been expired since May 2026. The woman stated she made a mistake while attempting to turn toward Athens. A motorcyclist narrowly avoided a collision with the vehicle.

In Evia, a 22-year-old man was injured after his vehicle veered off a coastal road near Glyfa. After the car went off course, the driver attempted to exit the vehicle and fell approximately 15 meters from a cliff. Firefighters rescued him, and he was transported to a hospital in Chalkida with head injuries.

Additionally, a serious collision involving two private cars occurred at Limni, Evia, resulting in a woman being trapped in one of the vehicles. Firefighters performed a rescue operation to free her, and she was subsequently taken to a medical facility for treatment.
