Athens minor arrested for cocaine trafficking; father also detained

Police from the Drug Crime Unit arrested a minor in central Athens on the afternoon of Friday, 10 July 2026. The teenager was found with a nylon package containing a small quantity of cocaine intended for further distribution.

Searches of the minor’s home uncovered 75 g of cocaine, 882 g of cannabis, an assault rifle, a motorcycle, €2,174 in cash, a precision electronic scale and a mobile phone. The minor had not obtained the required police identification document. Later that evening the minor’s father was arrested on charges of neglecting supervision of his child.

Both suspects were transferred to the appropriate prosecutorial authority.
