Athens police seize 16 kg cannabis and cocaine from 28‑year‑old trafficker

Police from the Security Unit of the Athens Metropolitan Police arrested a 28‑year‑old man on Thursday afternoon in the Kypseli district, identifying his home as a drug‑distribution hub. A search of the apartment uncovered 16 kg of cannabis, 24 g of cocaine, a precision electronic scale, anti‑tear‑gas masks, two pistols and €1 220 in cash. The suspect was taken to the Kypseli Criminal Investigation Department, where a case was opened for violations of drug‑related legislation and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. He was subsequently transferred to the appropriate prosecutor.
