Athens police seize 27 kg of drug adulterant and 51 kg of cocaine in Metaxourgio bust

On the afternoon of 6–7 July 2026, officers from the Hellenic Police DIAS unit arrested a 39‑year‑old foreign national in the Metaxourgio neighbourhood of Athens. The suspect attempted to flee but was immobilised and taken into custody.

A search of the suspect’s apartment, described as a drug‑production base, yielded more than 27 kg and 417 g of a substance used for adulterating narcotics, 51.6 kg of cocaine, 60 pharmaceutical tablets, cash estimated between €650 and €1,000, precision scales, sealing equipment, numerous nylon bags and cooking utensils. The man was transferred to the appropriate prosecutor for further investigation.
