Shkodër and Athens report fatal shooting and attempted assassination

Two separate violent incidents involving Albanian nationals have been reported in Shkodër and Athens.

In Shkodër, a 24-year-old tourism worker, Ylber Luli, died in the hospital following a confrontation. Police report that after a dispute in a local establishment, 25-year-old Andri Vulaj went to the victim's home. A physical altercation ensued involving the victim and his 63-year-old father, Qamil Luli. During the fight, the father and son reportedly wounded Vulaj with a knife, prompting Vulaj to use a handgun to shoot them. Vulaj was arrested at the scene.

In Athens, 55-year-old Eduart Mullaj was wounded in a suspected assassination attempt in the Patisia neighborhood. Witnesses reported hearing shots following a verbal conflict. The attackers reportedly fled the scene on a motorcycle. Greek authorities are investigating several leads, including potential links to the victim's past or organized crime, such as money laundering. Mullaj is reported to be in stable condition.
