Athens Stock Exchange posts marginal rise on selective trades
The Athens Stock Exchange closed with a marginal gain of 0.11%, the General Index reaching 2,449.91 points. Turnover fell to €261.02 million, below the €310 million levels of the two prior sessions, while trading volume was 47.6 million shares.
Twenty‑four trading packages moved €51.9 million, featuring pre‑arranged deals in DEH, Alpha Bank, Jumbo, AKTOR, Credia and Eurobank. Of the listed stocks, 68 rose, 54 fell and 80 were unchanged. The banking index rose 0.67% to 2,730.5 points, the FTSE 25 gained 0.12% to 6,224.5 points, and the mid‑cap FTSEM rose 0.53% to 3,034.5 points.
Top gainers included Cenergy (+3.5% to €20.52) and Biohalco (+1.64% to €17.40). Other notable risers were Credia (+3.1% to €0.96), National Bank (+1.4% to €14.78), Alpha Bank (+0.93% to €3.89) and Eurobank (+0.68% to €4.14). Losses were led by Piraeus Bank (‑0.45% to €8.90), ELHA (‑3.76% to €4.10), AKTOR (‑3.7% to €13.02) and DEH (‑2.19% to €22.30). The DEH share recorded the highest turnover of the session at €35.1 million.
