Atibaia Flower and Strawberry Festival concludes 44th edition

The 44th edition of the Festa de Flores e Morangos (Flower and Strawberry Festival) in Atibaia, São Paulo, concluded on September 27, 2026. Organized by the Associação Hortolândia de Atibaia, the 24-day event attracted visitors from across Brazil as well as Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia.

The festival aimed to promote regional culture, boost tourism, and strengthen the local floriculture and strawberry production chains. Key highlights included over 60 cultural presentations, exhibitions, and a cosplay contest won by Carlo de Wylder. The event featured accessibility initiatives such as a sensory garden and electric carts for reduced mobility.

Economic activity was significant, with the Associação Pró-Flor selling approximately 70,000 gardening items and roughly 80 tons of strawberries being used in various food products. The edition also marked the first visit by the Japanese Ambassador to Brazil, Noguchi Yasushi, and featured the inauguration of a large Japanese Garden.
