Atlanime Fest expands to four-day celebration in Atlanta

Atlanime Fest is returning for its second year, expanding into a four-day celebration from October 15-18. The event will take place across multiple venues in Atlanta, including Underground Atlanta and Monday Night Garage.

The festival highlights the intersection of Black culture and anime, featuring a mix of hip-hop, gaming, fashion, and animation. The lineup includes comedian Funny Marco, Slim Jxmmi, Duke Deuce, Domani, Cochise, and DRAM.

The event grew from Trap Sushi, an anime and hip-hop party founded in 2020 by Tolden “Troop” Williams and Stephanie Williams. What began as a small gathering of 25 people has evolved into a large-scale festival designed to provide dedicated space for Black anime fans.
