Atlanta Falcons offense improves with return of Michael Penix Jr

The Atlanta Falcons have seen a significant shift in performance following the return of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. After starting the season 0-2 with emergency starter Cooper Rush, the team secured a 35-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Wide receiver Drake London has shown increased production with Penix under center, recording nine catches for 194 yards in the recent win. Despite the team's offensive resurgence, some veteran players have yet to meet expectations. Tight end Kyle Pitts Sr., who signed a three-year, $53 million contract in the offseason, has recorded only two catches for 20 yards through the first three games. While improved blocking has been noted, analysts suggest the offense must involve Pitts more frequently to justify his high salary and balance the workload currently carried by London and running back Bijan Robinson.
