Atlanta hosts major fashion, art, and film festivals
Atlanta is hosting a series of major creative events throughout early October, including fashion, visual arts, and film festivals.
Atlanta Fashion Week runs from October 1–4, focusing on independent designers through programming such as the Next Wave initiative and the Bloomingdale’s x ATLFW: The Edit at Lenox Square. The event also features a retail incubator to assist emerging brands in entering major retail environments.
Simultaneously, the Atlanta Art Fair is held at Pullman Yards in Kirkwood from October 1–4. The third edition of the fair includes over 60 galleries from international locations such as Seoul, Johannesburg, and Uganda. Additionally, The Other Art Fair by Saatchi Art is debuting at Enspire Mercantile in Grant Park, showcasing over 110 independent artists.
The 39th Annual Out On Film LGBTQ+ Film Festival is also taking place through October 4. As one of only six LGBTQ film festivals globally that are Oscar-qualifying, the festival offers screenings, workshops, and panels. The Jury Award for Best Drama Short provides winners with eligibility for Academy Award consideration.
