Atlanta man accused of robbing 10 stores using disguises

Tracy Daryl Mingo, 33, has been arraigned on 20 federal counts following an alleged series of armed robberies across the Atlanta area between October 2025 and January 2026. Dubbed the “Master of Disguise,” Mingo is accused of targeting at least 10 locations, including Circle K, Subway, and Family Dollar stores, during late-night hours.

Prosecutors state that Mingo used various disguises—including construction worker, healthcare professional, and security guard outfits—to approach employees without raising suspicion before demanding cash at gunpoint. The investigation, a collaborative effort between the FBI and local law enforcement, led to his arrest on January 2 after he allegedly wore the same security guard disguise during consecutive robberies.

Mingo faces a minimum of 63 years in prison due to federal laws regarding the use of firearms during repeated robberies. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial.
