Atlanta armed robbery indictment of Tracy Mingo

Overview

Tracy Daryl Mingo, 33, has been indicted and arraigned on 20 federal counts related to a series of armed robberies across the Atlanta area. The robberies, which occurred between October 2025 and January 2026, targeted at least 10 retail locations, including Subway, Circle K, and Family Dollar.

Prosecutors allege that Mingo utilized various disguises—such as healthcare professional, construction worker, and security guard outfits—to approach employees and demand cash at gunpoint during late-night hours. Following a collaborative investigation by the FBI and local law enforcement, Mingo was arrested in January 2026 after being observed wearing a security guard disguise.

Mingo faces charges including Hobbs Act robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Due to federal sentencing laws regarding the use of firearms during multiple robberies, he faces a minimum of 63 years in prison. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial.
