Atlântico Institute AI Committee Sets Brazil AI Research Roadmap
In June 2026 the Atlântico Institute convened its Technical‑Scientific Committee in Brazil to define priorities for artificial‑intelligence (AI) research and development. The unpaid advisory body, chaired by Luiz Alves and including researchers such as Alex Trajano and Joel Rodrigues, examined emerging AI trends, safety, sovereignty and environmental sustainability. The committee aims to translate laboratory results into practical, secure applications and to position the state of Ceará as a national AI reference.
The group also discussed establishing national and international partnerships, with a focus on protecting citizens and ensuring AI serves human well‑being. Recommendations will guide the institute’s executive director in shaping future projects and policy advice.
