Barranquilla FC eliminated the two‑time champion Junior in the Copa BetPlay 2026 after a 3‑3 aggregate draw and a penalty shoot‑out, where Edwin Herrera missed the decisive spot‑kick. The victory places Barranquilla FC into the round of 16, where they will meet Millonarios.

Other ties in the same phase saw Inter Bogotá overturn Inter Palmira 2‑1 on aggregate, with goals from Larry Vásquez, Carlos Franco and Fabricio Sanguinetti. América de Cali secured its place after a 1‑1 draw with Real Cartagena, relying on a first‑leg 2‑1 win. Nacional advanced comfortably over Tigres, winning both legs 2‑0.
