Tucumán security plans major operation for River Plate match
Tucumán security authorities and Atlético Tucumán officials have coordinated a major security operation for River Plate’s upcoming visit to the José Fierro Stadium this Saturday. The match is part of the ninth round of the Torneo Clausura.
The deployment will include 420 officers stationed within the stadium, supplemented by personnel at provincial border crossings to monitor the approximately 400 River Plate supporters traveling from Buenos Aires. The security plan features four distinct rings of protection: one at the provincial borders and three surrounding the stadium access points.
Additionally, a specialized security capsule involving patrol cars, the DOM (Motorized Operations Directorate), CERO Special Forces, and Infantry will escort the River Plate squad from their arrival in the province to their hotel. Authorities have also announced a ban on alcohol sales and pre-match gatherings to ensure the event proceeds normally.
