Atlus is developing Persona 4 Revival, a complete remake of Persona 4 Golden, scheduled for release on February 17 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Unlike a simple remaster, this project is a full-scale remake featuring re-recorded voice acting, updated interfaces, and modernized mechanics following the standard set by Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload.

During Gamescom, General Producer Kazuhisa Wada and Art Director Akane Kobayashi shared details regarding the game's development. The remake aims to provide new story content to give returning players a reason to purchase the title, including deeper character explorations and influences from Persona 4 Arena and the official anime adaptation. Key scenes, such as the confrontation with 'Shadows,' have been completely overhauled to improve psychological depth and visual coherence.
