Atlus reveals Persona 4 Revival details and release date
Atlus and SEGA have unveiled new details for Persona 4 Revival, a comprehensive remake of the classic JRPG, during the Xbox @ Gamescom 2026 broadcast. The game is scheduled for release on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.
A new story trailer highlights the setting of Inaba and the central mystery involving the Midnight Channel, a supernatural phenomenon linked to a series of murders. The remake features updated visuals, including new anime cutscenes produced by studio MAPPA, and fully re-recorded voice acting for all characters.
Gameplay enhancements include the introduction of the ‘Prime Time’ mechanic, a high-intensity mode that allows for free ability usage and powerful finishers. Other updates include the ‘Baton Pass’ system from recent titles, improved exploration with free camera control, and a revamped soundtrack. P-Studio Director Kazuhisa Wada noted that the development aims to modernize the experience for new players while offering new discoveries for returning fans.
