ATR/BPN improves land measurement and validation services in Indonesia
The Indonesian Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is implementing improved land measurement and validation services across various regions.
In Purwakarta, the introduction of a scheduled measurement service has allowed applicants to receive certainty regarding when officials will arrive to survey their land. Residents have reported faster processing times, with some land measurement requests being fulfilled within two days of application. This system aims to provide greater transparency and efficiency in the land registration process.
In Jayawijaya, the local Land Office is conducting field inspections through its Land Examination Committee A. These routine field visits involve officials, district government representatives, and village heads to validate land boundaries and ensure physical and legal data consistency. These inspections are designed to provide legal certainty and prevent future land disputes before land certification is issued.
