Attica, Greece to experience scheduled power outages on Aug 3, 2026

The Hellenic electricity distribution operator (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) announced planned power cuts across the Attica region on Monday, 3 August 2026. Outages are part of routine maintenance, network construction and repair work. The schedule lists specific time windows for dozens of streets and neighborhoods, including early‑morning cuts in Ano Liosia (06:30‑14:30), central Athens streets such as Sti Xorou‑Lykeio (08:00‑10:00), and extensive interruptions in the port city of Piraeus (08:00‑12:00). Other affected areas include Glyfada, Kifissia, Marousi, and the southern suburbs.

ΔΕΔΔΗΕ urged residents to exercise caution, avoid using elevators and disconnect electrical appliances during the outages to minimise the risk of damage when power is restored. The operator noted that the cuts may end earlier if the work finishes ahead of schedule.
