Attica region hit by scheduled electricity and water outages on June 18‑19

On Thursday, 18 June, the Greek electricity provider DEDDIE announced temporary power cuts in several municipalities of Attica, including Athens, Peristeri, Chaidari, Kallithea, Pera Matos, and others. Interruptions were scheduled from 08:00 to 11:00 or 12:30, affecting residential and commercial customers.

The following day, Friday, 19 June, water utility EYDEAP planned supply interruptions in two Attica areas – the municipality of Athens and Argyroupoli. Residents were advised to store water, close taps, and check for leaks during the outage.

Both utilities provided guidance on how households should prepare and protect their homes during the brief service suspensions.
