Attica Region hosts Melbourne Greek community students
Seventeen students from the Greek Community of Melbourne, Australia, are visiting Greece as part of an educational hospitality program organized by the Attica Region. The group, consisting of thirteen girls and four boys, arrived in Athens on September 22 and is scheduled to stay until October 2.
Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias met with the students to discuss their experiences engaging with Greek history and culture. The program aims to strengthen ties between the Greek diaspora and their ancestral homeland while promoting the Attica Region internationally.
During their visit, the students have toured several historical and cultural sites, including Mycenae, Nafplio, the archaeological site of Epidaurus, and Delphi, as well as various islands in the Saronic Gulf. The students expressed their gratitude through a commemorative card written in both Greek and English, noting their enthusiasm for discovering the country's cultural heritage.
