Auburn University opens $224 million STEM+Ag complex

Auburn University has officially opened its new $224 million STEM + Agricultural Sciences Complex, marking the largest academic construction project in the institution's history. The 265,000-square-foot facility is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration by housing six departments from the College of Agriculture and the College of Sciences and Mathematics.

Approximately 70% of the complex is dedicated to research and teaching laboratories. The facility aims to address global challenges such as food security, environmental stewardship, and human health by providing shared workspaces that allow researchers from different fields to exchange ideas. The complex is already in use this fall, offering students the opportunity to participate in hands-on research alongside faculty.
