Audi India begins local production of 2026 Q3 SUV
Audi India has begun local assembly of the 2026 Audi Q3 at the SAVWIPL facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. This move aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and is intended to position the compact luxury SUV competitively in the local market.
The vehicle is scheduled for an official market launch on October 16, 2026. It will feature a 2.0-litre petrol engine and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. The new model is expected to include several segment-first technologies and advanced features.
Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, stated that the production start reflects the capabilities of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director of Audi India, noted that the new generation serves as a catalyst for the brand’s growth. Industry estimates suggest the starting price for the 2026 model will be approximately ₹48.00 Lakh (ex-showroom).
