Judge Arturo Zamarriego of Madrid has accepted a request to transfer the investigation into former PSOE member Leire Díez to the Audiencia Nacional. The case will now be handled exclusively by judge Santiago Pedraz.

The case also involves allegations of a second plot to manipulate investigations involving high-ranking officials and judicial bodies.

Separately, prosecutor Ignacio Stampa is appealing a decision by Judge Pedraz to deny him status as an aggrieved party in the proceedings, following reported attempts to bribe him in connection with the investigation.
