Australian miners announce new gold resource estimates and drilling successes

Auric Mining (ASX:AWJ) said a scoping study showed positive outcomes for re‑establishing the Burbanks processing plant and restarting mining at the Munda gold deposit in Western Australia. The Munda starter pit produced 202,000 t at 1.84 g/t Au, with gold sold at US$7,178 per ounce, and the redesign targets 600,000 t per annum throughput.

Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) reported that recent RC drilling at its Elsa prospect in WA intersected shallow copper‑gold mineralisation, defining a 1.2 km‑long priority zone. Notable results include drillhole ETG0262 with 16 m at 0.3 % Cu.

Terrain Minerals (ASX:TMX) released a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Lightning gold project (part of the Smokebush project north of Perth) of 54,000 oz Au, constrained within an optimized pit shell and open at depth, with plans for further infill and expansion drilling.

Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) announced that a four‑hole, 1,432.53 m diamond drilling campaign at the Tally Ho deposit in the Northern Territory intersected high‑grade gold below the historic pit and outside the current resource. Highlights include 3.17 m at 3.32 g/t Au 150 m below the pit, plus several other high‑grade hits, confirming deep‑extension potential.
