Australia and Portugal light up Da Nang at 2026 International Fireworks Festival

On June 27, 2026, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) held its fifth competition night along the Han River in central Vietnam. The Australian team, Skylighter Fireworks, opened the show with a youthful, music‑synchronized display featuring white stars, golden‑green brushes, rainbow arcs and comet chases to songs by Coldplay, Bon Jovi and Avicii. Portuguese competitor Macedos Pirotecnia followed with a highly creative performance that included high‑altitude shells, comets, Roman candles and a finale of titanium bursts.

The themed night, called “Vision,” attracted thousands of spectators and sold out before showtime, prompting organizers to open an additional grandstand with over 2,000 seats. The qualifiers conclude with a grand final on July 11, where the two highest‑scoring teams will compete for the championship.
