Australia confirms 29 training sites for 2027 Rugby World Cup

World Rugby has confirmed 29 outdoor training venues across Australia to be used by the 24 participating teams during the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup. These sites are distributed across several cities, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney, and Townsville.

In Adelaide, four specific venues have been selected: St Peter’s College, Adelaide University West Beach, Norwood Oval, and Unley Oval. Teams will also have access to high-performance indoor facilities such as the South Australian Sports Institute for recovery and gym sessions. In Perth, training will take place at the UWA Rugby Club, Kingsway Regional Sports Complex, Waterbank training centre, and Perth Rectangular Stadium.

Tournament Managing Director Chris Stanley stated that the selection of these sites highlights the quality of Australia’s high-performance facilities. The plan includes hosting open training sessions during the pool stages, allowing local communities and fans to observe international players up close.
