Knowla Angus bull fetches $140,000 at Australian auction

The Knowla Livestock annual on‑property sale at Gloucester in Victoria recorded a six‑figure top price when the 822‑kg Angus bull Knowla VIP V264 sold for $140,000 to McKenzie Ag of Buninyong. The bull, a late‑September 2024 drop from sire Knowla Revolution R190, posted EBVs in the top 3 % for eye‑muscle area and top 1 % for docility, and secured a perfect clearance average of $20,025 across the sale.

Earlier in Queensland, the inaugural multi‑breed Bunya Creek Angus sale at Valorbrook, near Bell, saw a Brangus bull (Bunya Creek U127) sell for $15,000, while the top‑priced Angus bull (Bunya Creek V128) fetched $10,000. The Queensland event offered 48 bulls, cleared 34 at a 70.8 % clearance rate with an average price of $6,588.
