Mining companies report high-grade copper and gold exploration results
Multiple mining companies have reported significant drilling and exploration results across Mongolia and Australia.
Azzuro Resources confirmed high-grade copper-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralisation at its Red Hill Project in southwestern Mongolia. Final assays from its 2026 drilling program show mineralisation over a 550m strike length and 150m depth, with intercepts including 2m at 11.95% copper and 1.99g/t gold. The system remains open in multiple directions, and phase two drilling has commenced.
In Australia, QMines Limited reported high-grade results at the Mount Chalmers project in Central Queensland, including a 32-meter copper section with 1.99% copper and a shallow gold-silver zone with peak grades of 12.6g/t gold. Solstice Minerals identified a broad copper-gold zone at its Nanadie project in Western Australia, with an intercept of 83m at 0.96% copper and 0.44g/t gold.
Additionally, Terrain Minerals utilized CSIRO’s UltraFine+ geochemical technology at its Carlindie project in the East Pilbara region to attempt to identify mineralisation beneath surface cover.
