Western Australian copper and gold mining exploration

Mining exploration in Western Australia has yielded significant results for copper and gold projects. Solstice Minerals reported that drilling at its Nanadie project extended the copper-gold mineralisation beyond previous boundaries, with the system measuring at least 1.2km long and remaining open at depth. Subsequent reports indicated further progress in the region, with Solstice Minerals identifying a broad mineralisation zone featuring a combined intercept of 172m at 0.69% copper and 0.30g/t gold.

Recent exploration updates show continued activity in the region. Solstice Minerals identified a broad copper-gold zone at the Nanadie project with an intercept of 83m at 0.96% copper and 0.44g/t gold. In the East Pilbara region, Terrain Minerals has utilized CSIRO’s UltraFine+ geochemical technology at its Carlindie project in an attempt to identify mineralisation beneath surface cover.

While much of the recent high-grade reporting has focused on Australia, similar volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralisation has been confirmed at the Red Hill Project in Mongolia by Azzuro Resources, where drilling showed intercepts including 2m at 11.95% copper and 1.99g/t gold.
