Australian mining industry prepares for major awards and exhibitions

The Australian mining sector is preparing for several major industry events. Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Australian Mining Prospect Awards, scheduled for September 16, 2026, at Fraser’s King Park in Perth. The gala dinner, held during the WA Mining Conference & Exhibition, will recognize finalists in categories such as sustainability innovation, mine safety, and First Nations engagement. Major industry participants including BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue, and Alcoa are among the finalists.

Additionally, momentum is building for the Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) 2027, which will take place at the Adelaide Showground from September 28–30. The 2027 event will feature the inaugural Asia-Pacific Mining Investment Summit (APMI Summit) on September 29–30. This summit aims to connect resource companies with institutional investors, fund managers, and analysts through a dedicated investment pavilion and program.
