Tennis Australia announced that daily allocations of the $49 Ground Pass – the cheapest ticket option that lets fans roam the Melbourne Park precinct – will be capped for the first time for the 2027 Australian Open. The decision follows the 2026 tournament, which set a record with 1,368,043 attendees over three weeks and long queues for the popular passes.

Tickets go on public sale at 12 p.m. on 13 August via Ticketmaster, after a Mastercard presale from 5 August and an AO Extras presale from 6‑12 August. Cedric Cornelis, Chief Commercial Officer of Tennis Australia, said the move reflects the event’s growing popularity and aims to give fans more time to plan and a better on‑site experience.

The Ground Pass price remains unchanged since 2019, and early‑bird pricing is available until 30 November. An Accessibility pre‑sale runs from 28 July to 4 August to give priority access to fans with special needs.
