Australian police charge multiple individuals in drug trafficking operations

Police in Australia have conducted several operations resulting in multiple drug-related arrests and seizures. In the South Brisbane District, Queensland Police charged three individuals with nearly 100 offences following investigations that began on 2 September.

One 50-year-old woman faces 40 charges, including trafficking and possessing dangerous drugs, following a vehicle interception and a subsequent search in Edmonstone Street. A 38-year-old woman was also charged with 42 offences, including 25 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, after police allegedly seized heroin, methylamphetamine, GHB, GBL, and clonazepam.

In the Riverina region, a 27-year-old man was arrested on 3 September after Riverina Highway Patrol officers discovered more than 500 grams of MDMA inside his vehicle during a random breath test on the Hume Highway near Coolac. He has been charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
