Austrian hiker rescued after fall in Val Rosandra

An 82-year-old Austrian hiker was rescued in Val Rosandra after an accidental fall on the Sentiero 1 dell’Amicizia near Bottazzo. The woman sustained a concussion and was stabilized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Alpine and Speleological Rescue team.

Rescuers reached the injured woman on foot and provided initial medical assistance before transporting her to Casello Modugno. From there, she was transferred by ambulance to the Cattinara hospital in Trieste for further treatment.
