Authenticity and Modernity Party unveils 2026 election program

The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has unveiled its electoral program for Morocco’s 2026 legislative elections, centered on a ‘Purchasing Power Charter.’ Key proposals include making monthly electricity bills under 100 dirhams free for low-consumption households, funded by a 12 percent solidarity contribution on consumption exceeding 200 kWh/month. The party also pledges to increase widow pensions to 100 percent of their deceased spouses' benefits and ensure no pension falls below 3,000 dirhams monthly.

To combat rising costs and middleman dominance in food supply chains, PAM proposes reorganizing distribution networks and establishing six regional agricultural distribution companies. The program also emphasizes youth integration through education and employment, as well as strengthening national economic and technological sovereignty.

Amidst these announcements, the party is addressing internal developments, including the high-profile arrival of Fouzi Lekjaa. Party coordinator Fatima Zahra Mansouri clarified that Lekjaa’s integration is intended to bolster the party with high-level expertise rather than to facilitate a leadership succession. Meanwhile, political figures like Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd face scrutiny regarding their government track records as the 2026 campaign intensifies.
