Latin America reports surge in violent crimes and legal rulings

Various criminal incidents and legal proceedings have been reported across Latin America. In Argentina, Oscar Antonio Dávila received a 30-year prison sentence for the long-term sexual abuse of his two stepdaughters in Río Grande. In Bahía Blanca, a woman was critically injured in a cutter attack by her partner, Cristian Aguilera, who fled the scene. In Mendoza, José Moreno was detained following an assault on his partner during a divorce dispute. Additionally, a violent brawl in Avellaneda led to the arrest of four men.

In Mexico, Bryan Geovanni N was linked to a process for sexual abuse and robbery in Nezahualcóyotl, while in Veracruz, a 61-year-old man was killed with a machete during a domestic confrontation.

In Colombia, two minors were injured after being struck by a motorcyclist in Tierralta, who then fled the scene. In Paraguay, an autopsy confirmed that Nilsa Raquel Brítez Garay died from a single gunshot wound to the head in a suspected femicide in San Lorenzo. Finally, in Bolivia, a 63-year-old woman died following a physical assault by her husband, bringing the national femicide count to 55.

In Costa Rica, multiple emergencies involving vehicle collisions and a stabbing resulted in one death and several critical injuries.
