Authorities conduct searches for missing persons in Uruguay and Chile

Authorities in Uruguay and Chile are conducting separate search operations for missing individuals.

In San Carlos, Uruguay, the Ministry of the Interior is seeking assistance to locate 29-year-old Elías Cánova Silvera. He was last seen on the night of September 20 near the CEDEMCAR area. He was reportedly driving a green Chery QQ and is described as having a thin build, approximately 1.77 meters tall, with black hair, a beard, and tattoos on his legs and arm.

In Osorno, Chile, specialized police units including the GOPE (Special Police Operations Group) are searching for 35-year-old Jonathan Zumelzu Garay, who has been missing since August 9. Search efforts are concentrated around the banks of the Rahue River, utilizing aerial, terrestrial, and underwater techniques, including diving and drone technology, to locate him.
