Authorities implement safety and traffic measures for Milad-un-Nabi

Authorities in India have issued various regulations and traffic advisories ahead of Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.

In Srinagar, the Traffic Police have announced extensive diversions and designated parking arrangements to manage devotees traveling to the Hazratbal Shrine. These measures apply to celebrations on the night of August 25-26, 2026, and for Friday prayers on August 28. Specific routes have been established for vehicles arriving from North Kashmir, South Kashmir, Budgam, Ganderbal, and Lal Chowk to ensure orderly movement.

In Hyderabad, the police have implemented a complete ban on DJs and bike rallies for the upcoming festivities. Following a meeting with the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee, City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar stated that strict action will be taken against those violating noise pollution regulations or participating in unauthorized rallies. The procession, scheduled for August 26 following prayers at Makkah Masjid, must adhere to specific timeframes and safety standards, particularly regarding electrical decorations and monsoon-related precautions.
